The Coming Insurrection is a French political tract that hypothesizes the imminent collapse of capitalist culture. The book is notable for the media coverage which it received as an example of a radical leftist manifesto, particularly from American conservative commentator Glenn Beck. Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson is being challenged in Downingtown West High School in Downingtown, PA after one parent objected to sexual content in the book and it is not the only book by Laurie Halse Anderson to be challenged this month. Her new signature outfit is also pretty great – the overalls are perfect, I actually kind of love the furry vest, the shoes are fun, the jewelry is great – aside from the poor quality hair, G3 Clawdeen is nearly perfect imo. Don’t ask me why she has cat eyes though. Her face is the best of the new dolls, imo – she has so much twee sass and personality! She looks like she’s perpetually about to break into laughter and wink at you. She’s a younger version of the character in my eyes, but I love that they made her a little more wolfy, with the doggie nose and sculpted fur details. Aside from the poor quality of the hair though, the Clawdeen doll is completely precious. So they gave the dolls this great articulation and surprisingly detailed accessories, but then they put cheap ass nylon hair on Clawdeen that feels like some dollar store level stuff. ![]() |
